I was lucky enough to get this in a gift set for Christmas from my mother in law. I had never tried Lancome before then. In my head it had the image of being old fashioned and for an age beyond me. What I saw when I opened the gift set much to my pleasant surprise was that the whole set was pure quality of components. It was money on treats that I just wouldn't have been able to justify myself, so it was a really lovely present.

One of the items in the set, and I have to confess, my favorite item, was this, Lancome Galateis Douceur amke up remover. It comes in a white plastic bottle, oval to curved in shape. It is decorated to be deliciously classy. The bottle has a flip on and off lid, this covers a small hole, which when turned upside down you can squeeze the product out of.

The make up remover itself is a creamy white liquid. It smells of nothing distinctive, just of posh middle class ladies and their changing rooms! It is delightful. The cream smooths on from a cotton wool bud onto my skin very very easily. It is silky and feels good to the touch. I have quite sensitive skin and this does not irritate it, nor make it dry or greasy.

The cream is extremly good at removing make up. It takes quite a bit of it, which is quite frustrating due to the price, but maybe that is a reflection of how much make up I use, rather than how good the cream is. My skin is left completely make up free. My skin is also silky and smooth.

This is by far my favorite make up remover. So far I have managed to minimise costs by buying this off ebay, so have been able to afford it so far. If I was to have to go into a beauty salon and pay full rrp it would be a lot lot more expensive. So, all the while I can make the most of others unwanted gifts on ebay this is definitely a beauty product of choice.
