Advantages: Amazing coverage yet feels light, radiant glow, lasts all day
Disadvantages: nothing
This is, without a doubt, my favourite foundation! I bought it by chance when my normal Chanel foundation was out of stock in my colour. I had been wanting to try a new foundation for a while but I was always a bit wary as most colours don't seem to match my skin tone. Even my normal one was slightly a bit dark for my skin tone (and that was the lightest one they did!). It always looked good when you first started the bottle but then you begin heading into 'orange' teritory as you get to the bottom of it. I decided to give Lancome's Photogenic foundation a whirl after reading about it in a beauty magazine, apparently it's Uma Thurman's favourite as well, which can't be bad. The sales assistant said it would give a fresh, dewy, luminescent look, as that is everything I look for in a foundation, I was sold.
Lancome Photogenic foundation contains Photonique Network, which is designed to give a luminous complexion. The combination of coated pigments and Photo-Liminescent mother of pearl catches and controls the light, to boost the skins luminosity. It also contains Aqua-Catch Complex which provides an instant comfort and locks in moisture to hydrate your skin for up to 24 hours. The silky smooth formula glides on to the skin, covering imperfections for a beautifully radiant complexion.
I have been using this foundation for almost a year now and I have no intention of switching to any other make or brand. I love it just as much now as when I first tried it. I use shade 010 which is absolutley perfect for my skin tone, I have never found one which matches as good as this. The foundation just glides on your skin, it is super smooth and gives amazing coverage. The formula is very light and, for me, it never feels heavy or as if you wearing foundation. I have combination skin, so some foundations can cause my skin to look really oily, whilst oil-free foundations cause my skin to look really dry and flaky. This one is just perfect, since I have been using this I haven't had to blot away any excess oil during the day and my foundation stays in place without sliding off. I must say aswell, this foundation has amazing staying power. My complexion looks just as good throughout the day as it did when I first put it on. It also has the added benefit of SPF 15 which is perfect for my fair skin. The result, a flawless, radiant, smooth look around the clock.
To use:
Apply a dab of Photogenic Lumessence to the cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. Blend using an upward motion with either your fingertips or a foundation brush. Take extra care to blend around the nose, under the eyes and around the hairline.
Lancome Photogenic Lumessence is avaliable at Lancome counters found in most department stores and is also available online at Amazon and Ebay. A 30ml bottle normally retails at £27.50, totally worth it in my opinion.
An amazing foundation, my complexion always looks flawless and radiant now. There are many shades avaliable to suit all skin tones aswell. I would absolutley recommend this foundation, I love it and it's no wonder that Uma Thurman does too.
