At first I absolutely loved this foundation as it does stay put really well especially with powder or a primer. However, as I continued using I realised that it really wasn't that good. It is suitable for oily skin, so it is water based. This means that it dries very quickly so you need to blend as soon as you apply it. If you try and blend after it has dried, you end up rubbing the foundation off and get an even more obvious tide mark than before. The coverage is not great to be honest - you can build it up but then you end up using loads of the foundation. It is very good in the fact that it looks very natural and never looks caked. Teint Idole This is my absolute favourite foundation from the Lancome stable. It's more long-lasting than Maquimatte and easier to apply (with a better dispenser) than Maquicontrole. Aimed at oilier skins, this is good for everyone, except very dry complexions, who want a medium to fuller coverage that's oil free and really does stay put all day. Like a lot of oil-free make-ups, it needs a deft hand in application. It dries quickly on contact and needs very careful blending around the edges.
