I tried another "new" Lancome foundation which was just hideous and ended up going back to my trusty faithful Teint Idole Ultra. ==Overall== I have and will continue to buy this foundation again. It goes on smoothly, looks great and feels nice too. Give it a try!...more

Lancôme Teint Idole: Long lasting Natural looking Foundation (203 words)
by - written on 20/02/08 (Useful, 292 readings)
Rating:

At first I absolutely loved this foundation as it does stay put really well especially with powder or a primer. However, as I continued using I realised that it really wasn't that good. It is suitable for oily skin, so it is water based. This means that it dries very quickly so you need to blend as soon as you apply it. If you try and blend after it has dried, you end up rubbing the foundation off and get an even more obvious tide mark than before. The coverage is not great to be honest - you can build it up but then you end up using loads of the foundation. It is very good in the fact that it looks very natural and never looks caked. The colour range is good but don't ..  Read the complete review

Lovely light coverage foundation. (567 words)

==Overview== I purchased the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra foundation on the recommendation of the make up artist who did my wedding makeup. I didn't use it on my wedding day but was interested to know what she recommended for a light-coverage foundation. I can't bear caked on foundation and hate the feeling that your face is in some sort of face mask when the foundation is too heavy. Equally, I can't bear foundation that doesn't cover basic skin flaws or comes off easily. I wanted a light-coverage foundation which would provide me with a nice base for my skin. ==Teint Idole== I had a skin match at the Lancome beauty counter and asked for a ...  Read the complete review

Lancôme Teint Idole: A lovely natural foundation (568 words)
by - written on 13/04/10 (Very useful, 168 readings)

I was at the Lancome counter at my local House of Fraser buying a lipstick, and they had an offer on to get a free gift with purchase of 2 items. Being in the spending mood, I enquired about a suitable foundation for my problem skin as my second purchase. I was recommended the Teint Idole Ultra, because the beauty lady said that I needed to keep my skin moisturised for good skin so this would be a good one to use. It was quite pricey at £27.50 for a £30ml bottle, but you know what it's like when you're at a beauty counter, you get tempted quite easily to buy!! She tested it on a part of my face, rather than doing a full face coverage (as I didn't have ...  Read the complete review

Didn't do my skin any favours! (728 words)
by - written on 29/10/09 (Very useful, 287 readings)
Rating:

Lancôme Tent Idol Virtually all make-up addicts have heard of the brand "Lancôme". It's one of the best premium brands in make-up however; I couldn't help feeling rather unsatisfied with this product. Results The Lancôme Teint Idole really didn't do my skin any favours, I knew straight away when I pressed down the pump it wasn't going to do anything for my very sensitive skin because it had a lot of fragrance in it. It smells a little bit like baby wipes... which isn't exactly appealing... right? So anyway, I applied the product already aware this product would be a nightmare for my skin, as I'd used other foundations from ...  Read the complete review

Lancôme Teint Idole: Lancome's best? (242 words)
by - written on 02/10/00, updated on  02/10/00 (Very useful, 1200 readings)

Teint Idole This is my absolute favourite foundation from the Lancome stable. It's more long-lasting than Maquimatte and easier to apply (with a better dispenser) than Maquicontrole. Aimed at oilier skins, this is good for everyone, except very dry complexions, who want a medium to fuller coverage that's oil free and really does stay put all day. Like a lot of oil-free make-ups, it needs a deft hand in application. It dries quickly on contact and needs very careful blending around the edges. But once it's on it really does stay put, especially if set with a dusting of powder. As with much Lancome, it's quite highly ...  Read the complete review
