Advantages: Natural finish, transfer resistant, comfortable, soft.

Disadvantages: Pricey

I was at the Lancome counter at my local House of Fraser buying a lipstick, and they had an offer on to get a free gift with purchase of 2 items. Being in the spending mood, I enquired about a suitable foundation for my problem skin as my second purchase. I was recommended the Teint Idole Ultra, because the beauty lady said that I needed to keep my skin moisturised for good skin so this would be a good one to use. It was quite pricey at £27.50 for a £30ml bottle, but you know what it's like when you're at a beauty counter, you get tempted quite easily to buy!! She tested it on a part of my face, rather than doing a full face coverage (as I didn't have time).

Albeit, this was not a bad purchase, as I found it to be a really lovely and natural foundation. It comes in an elegant shapely pump bottle, and it a normal consistency, not too thick and not too thin. My shade is pretty accurate (always get it tested in store before you buy any foundation!) and it was a really nice matt, natural finish. The coverage is light/medium, so not for those who want a full coverage. I use concealer along with this, which works fine.

The foundation is transfer resistant, and has SPF factor 10 so you are protected adequately from the sun. I couldn't particularly notice this as a moisturising foundation from the description of this product, but my skin didn't feel dry so i guess it must offer adequate moisture.

Prior to this, I have been using MAC Mineralise liquid foundation, which is very good also, but I find this Lancome foundation to be a lot more natural in finish. My skin also felt soft after using this. It does dry fairly quickly too, and like it says, is transfer resistant (unless you rub your face quite firmly against something, I imagine!!). My face still looked very fresh and natural at the end of the day, which is a good bonus.

I felt this was a nice natural foundation, and I will happily continue to use this. I was quite lucky with this purchase as I was happy with it, but if you are unsure, see if lancome will give you a tester on this, or just get them to put it on for you, and then see how you feel at the end of the day.

Lancome's description:
