I have bought a couple of laptop sleeves lately as if one gets dirty I need another one and I have a couple of laptops lying around at the moment from work. I have a 15" laptop from work that I use and this needs a larger case than my other one which is why I looked for a different style. I opted for this Belkin Neoprene sleeve which is suitable for laptops which are 15.4". This particular model comes in a couple of different colours which is nice but I decided to go for the black and purple model which is my favourite colour. I like Belkin as a brand and have purchased quite a few things from them which is why I wanted to go for this one.

APPEARANCE

This laptop sleeve as I've said is made for laptops up to 15.4" and is made of neoprene which is a synthetic rubber fabric but it does seem to protect the laptop well. It is soft to touch and the sleeve is black on the outside but inside it is a lovely purple colour which makes it look unique and really stand out. It has a small fabric tab on the side which has the Belkin logo on it which is quite subtle and the zips on each side also have this. This laptop sleeve is very lightweight which is the best part about it and it really does slip over the laptop almost like a glove which is easy enough for carrying and it doesn't have a handle because it is only a protective sleeve not a case.

BELKIN NEOPRENE SLEEVE

The reason I got this mainly was because I carry my bag around a lot and have my laptop in it but on its own it'd get scratched and it wouldn't really be protected. The reason for having this sleeve is that it is made to protect the laptop from scratches and bumps while being carried around. There are zips on both sides of this sleeve so that it meets in the middle for even better protection which I find great as the zips don't tend to stick so they slide along just fine keeping securely in place. The inside of this sleeve is so smooth that you know the laptop is being very well protected as nothing inside would be able to scratch it as it is free from anything sharp inside.

I have to be honest I haven't really found anything that annoys me about this sleeve, it is pretty straightforward to use and hasn't had any holes in the material or threads loose. It comes with a lifetime guarantee from the manufacturer but another perk with the zips also is that the laptop can be removed from the top or from the side. This fits my laptop perfectly which is 15" and I carry it around to work in my bag and being in this protective sleeve, my laptop has continued to be scratch free and padded. It has a cushion like feel to it which is what I like and it has a slight bit of stretch in the fabric to make it go over laptops easily.

You have to realise when buying this that it is just a sleeve and not a case, so you get no straps or handles which is fine as it keeps the laptop very slimline. I have been lucky enough to get no dirty marks on this case with it being black on the outside but even if you do, a light damp sponge just wiped onto the dirt should make it come away. A really heavy stain could be a bit more problematic but I'm sure if you want you can risk a handwash or getting this wet to try and get the dirt out but I'd be careful to make sure it didn't shrink. These sleeves are made to withstand a lot but you just have to take good care also with them to stop any damage.

I find I use this sleeve for the laptop to sit on to stop it getting too hot which works really well. There are a lot of different sleeves you can buy for laptops but Belkin are a reliable and well known brand and this hasn't let me down yet, I know they all look like they do the same but feeling this fabric, I can feel the quality and strength of it and it does feel good. The good thing is that there are a couple of different colours you can buy for this also to suit you and they do the trick at keeping your laptop safe in transit. I recommend this Belkin sleeve and cannot really fault it as my laptop always arrives in one piece without any bumps or damage.

I bought my Belkin Neoprene sleeve at Argos which is not a normal shop I go to but it was only £14.99 and it still on offer online and I'm sure in store as it should be £19.99 so a £5 saving.
