      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Great lacquer bag but too tight when a 15 inch laptop inserted - but useful for other things.

      Removable should strap extends up to 55 inches.
      Expandable buy up to 2.5 inches.

      ===Cost===

      Black lacquer - £83.00 full price on Amazon but currently selling for £23.54.
      The plain black is £74.

      ===My Opinion===

      I have seen this bag in various colours in the internet but currently Amazon are only selling two - plain black nylon or the one I got, black lacquer - which is a sort of coated nylon.

      The fabric is water resistant and the back section for the laptop is padded.

      The metal fittings are a dark burnished colour and are very strong, as are the rubber and metal zip pulls.

      Kipling is a famous international brand and their bags are renowned for their durability and also being very lightweight. Their zips are also excellent quality.

      The bag fastens with a zip across the top but also has a zip around the three other sides, which, when opened, expands the body and base of the bag by up to 2.5 inches.

      The front flap pocket is fastened by two fastenings of Velcro and is the full length of the bag and will take an A4 writing pad.

      The main body of the bag is just one space but it has the slip pockets on the front part for pens and phone etc and the back is divided off and is padded - but does not have a separate zip.

      The bag has the standard light grey lining which can be wiped clean.

      The black lacquer finish makes the bag look very professional and business like - no matter what you are carrying.

      Sold as a laptop bag, I was rather disappointed that the bag, marketed for up to a 15 inch laptop, will just about take mine - but then there is hardly any room for anything else.

      When not containing my laptop the bag is spacious and very useful.

      I find it is great to take to meetings with files and papers and the dividing section in the main bag is good for keeping your things organised.

      There is plenty of room to carry you personal items as well - and the front pocket can be used instead of a handbag for your bits and pieces while the main section can be for your paperwork.

      This bag looks sleek, chic and professional and would be a great work bag - and you could carry your lunch in style.

      It would also be useful as an overnight bag provided you did not carry too much.

      The trolley slot may be useful for some people travelling but personally I find no use for it.

      The shoulder strap is good and strong and very easy to adjust - just pull to the required place and leave - it just stays in place.

      When the extendible zip around the outer edge is opened it means that the base of the bag is then 5 inches.

      The bag is reasonably lightweight and chic. The trademark monkey which comes with most Kipling bags is a key ring and removable - personally I always remove mine.

      When used as an ordinary bag the divider inside is handy for keeping my umbrella, hat, scarf, etc are all kept together.

      On the front of the bag is a large rubberised Kipling logo.

      When delivered this bag came in a massive box - but the bag itself is just a normal size.

      Would suite a smaller laptop or tablet - or just be useful as a general purpose bag.

      It would benefit form a few more zipped pockets or for the laptop drop section to have a zip across the top.

      I would never have paid full price for this bag but for £23 it is a good serviceable bag that I can use for meetings and carry all my essentials is a tidy fashion and not in carrier or tote bags.

      ===Star Rating===

      3 stars. Greta bag but not really suitable for a 15 inch laptop - too snug a fit and no room for other items.

      ===Would I Recommend?===

      Yes - but with reservations.
