      Definitely worth considering

Here Lowepro offer a slightly alternative laptop bag with a colour scheme along with the usual black.

Compared with stiff black laptop bags this provides you with a more flexible and informal alternative. I chose this particular bag because it doesn't scream of carrying a laptop. Additionally I am a fan of the Lowepro brand and previous bags have been durable and lasted.

The bag consists of a front flat which contains a large pocket. The flap itself feels very thin but isn't integral to bag structure so it's fine. The inner compartment front wall is also made of the thin material however the stitching and material seem to be very strong.

The main inner compartment is very large although not padded at the front. It would be possible to carry a laptop charger, some files / books and lots more items here. There is also a specific laptop area which is padded on all sides and is for the laptop size specified (15.4" for this particular size). This means that overall the laptop bag space inside is bigger than your laptop due to the arrangement.

On the inside wall of the main compartment there are some stationary pockets, large enough for a big mobile, notepad or small portable hard disk.
On the other side of this wall facing outwards are another set of pockets for pens, cards, mobile / mp3 player etc. Finally, on either side the bag has another pocket and a bottle holder.

Overall this bag allows you to carry lots of thing without having to delve around to find something. The laptop area is well padded and the construction feels sturdy.

The bag comes with a couple of straps and I've yet to figure out how to use one of them (I think it's to use as a backpack) but then main strap is comfortable and secured on the body well. The handle at the top is a bit of a pain due to it's location. When the bag is full the center of gravity is slightly off meaning that the bag dangles at an angle.

I purchased my bag while on sale for around £10 so it was a bargain however I wouldn't hesitate to spend the current retail price of about £18 either.
