      Very helpful

A brilliant messenger bag complete with comfy laptop compartment!

This bag is like a dream. I purchased it nearly 4 years ago when I wanted something really sturdy to take to work. It amazes me that this brand of bags isn't more popular, since the designs are amazingly durable with functions that you wouldn't think of using immediately, but become very useful!

I wanted to carry my laptop easily, but much preferred a dedicated pouch then to just rely on my laptop case offering most of the protection. I read many reviews for messenger bags and backpacks, but spotted this 'cocoon system' in this messenger bag. It fits laptops of up to 15.6 inches in a snug and well cushioned casing i.e. the cocoon. The dimensions of this are 37.5x4x25.5cm.

The bag can hole 18 litres and is very roomy inside. I recently used this bag for a short trip where I travelled quite a lot and wanted something compact and not too bulky. The bag worked really well - I was able to fit in my macbook, cables, 2 pairs of trousers, 2 tops, some books, a bottle of perfume, some bike lights, and various other bits and bobs with room to spare. The shoulder strap is adjustable and comfortable so you can have it really short so that it sits very close to you like a backpack. The shoulder strap is very heavy duty and I have never used this bag once and thought it wasn't durable enough. The shoulder strap features a long, well cushioned pad so that it sits easier on the shoulder. It also has a big, heavy duty buckle at the side for you do adjust the length of the strap. This is really easy to use - you lift the buckle up and adjust the shoulder strap as you would normally with any standard bag, then you bring the buckle down again to lock the strap firmly in place. The bag is fastened by large velcro patches and buckles which are both very durable. You can adjust how tight the buckles are easily as well.

The bag has lots of smaller pouches inside that are good for organising various small bits as well as for storing your cables. The bag is big enough for a4 documents as well. What I didn't think of using, but later did extensively, was the cycle strap which you fasten around the body. This is really secure. I was nervous at first that the bag would swing around and destabilise me, but with the cycle strap it kept the bag firmly behind me. The bag also has a key fasten inside which is really useful when you want to find your keys - it hangs on a long strap that you can just pull out. The bag is quite resistant against water too which is another plus!

The colours might not be to everyone's taste... in fact the picture for this product has different colours to mine. Mine has 2 black panels on either side of a khaki coloured one. I think overall that this is an absolutely fabulous bag - extremely durable and reliable. I would even say that I'd expect it to last this way for at least 15 years from date of purchase. When I purchased this bag, I paid around £37, the prices are cheaper now though. Definitely would recommend it!
