      Advantages

      Disadvantages

It is a good quality and smart laptop case, that could benefit from a handle!

I only bought this case because I had a Sony VAIO and it seemed like a good idea at the time! Now that I think about it, I could have found a similar laptop case for less! But apart for the extra quids I had to pay for the logo, I am perfectly happy with it! It is a good quality laptop case, it is stylish, and most importantly, it does protect my laptop! I have exposed it to heavy rain, traveling and one unfortunate incident of falling down the stairs and it survived! The nylon outer keeps it dry and the soft interior protects it from scratches. It also has a good solid zip and there is some room to slip in a small folder or some documents (no separate department though!)
It is the kind of laptop case that you put in a bag. I tried to carry it around a few times, but it's not convenient at all, as it doe not have a handle. Also, bear in mind that the case is quite big, so maybe it won't fit in some of your bags.
Overall, it is a good quality and smart laptop case, that could benefit from a handle!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Don't buy full price - turn on the charm.

My Sony Vaio VGP-CKN1/S netbook/laptop case looks smart and holds the 15.4 inch laptop.

This case, with the Vaio logo on the front, weighs of 300g with dimensions of height 380 x 60width x 300mm depth, and definitely protects my laptop from dirt and accidents. I spilt blackcurrant juice on my case and the soft cushioned material just held the water on top and it easily mopped up with a kitchen towel and there are no stains left though if it wasn't a dark case than it might be a different story. Anyway my lap top lived to tell the tale and that is the main thing.

In terms of design it is a simple case with two strong zips that can meet in the middle, around all but the back side of the perimeter. Mine came with that material equivalent to bubble wrap (anyone know what that stuff is called? I left this soft material inside as an extra layer of protection. The case is larger than the laptop by the top third of my finger so I feel that leaving in the wrap prevents it from sliding around. The main case is made of memory foam. I use it as a laptop mat so that my netbook feels comfortable on my legs. Heat doesn't penetrate through the case so I love that it doubles up into a secondary purpose.

I am very glad to have something lightweight. The sleek design means that there is no pocket for chargers or documents which is a pity. There is no handle on the case either. I tuck it firmly under my arm, carry in my hands, or slip it inside a small rucksack, which particularly comes out for cycle rides or public transport. Slim and lightweight is really important for my back and keeps the effort of travel with a laptop to a minimum.

The case is textured which feels a little rough. I'd like it to be smooth under my hands like the laptop - does anyone else run their hands over their laptop and case?

The full crazy price was apparently £50. I'm not sure why it is so expensive but I got mine for £10 because I fluttered my eyelashes at the salesmen - and that's not all I got - (I'm talking about computer extras)!

The negatives are about the texture, lack of handle, and internal, or external pockets, but I always new mine should not be bulky and would slip into my rucksack. Don't try jumping on this or dropping from a great height it's not designed to be that hardy.

Four stars as it does what I need it to do - offers protection whilst keeping the weight down.

Protecting your laptop: Sony Vaio case
        *******************************************************

I have an laptop Sony Vaio which I hardly take out of the house really. Sometimes I take it with me when I'm going for a trip but mostly I just use the laptop at home. When I do travel I have a case to protect my laptop. It's maybe not so much just protecting the laptop when I have it in the bag but I often take the laptop out to put it on the table and I hate it being unprotected. I often fling my keys or other objects on the table and out if scratching the laptop.

My laptop is a 15.4 inch laptop and this case is designed for these laptops. It's very thin and that's what I wanted. I was looking for a thin protection case and not a whole bag because I normally have a bag with me and I wanted to put this laptop safely in that bag and of course for safekeeping in the house and then you don't want to have a massive bag. The case weights 300g and is W x D x H380 x 60 x 300mm.

I bought this case with my laptop at the same shop and they gave me a great discount so I only paid around 25 pounds for it but normally this case is around 50 pounds. Quiet expensive and I don't know if I would have paid that amount of money for it. The case itself is great and looks really stylish but it's quiet a lot of money.

The case does what it's designed for and keeps my laptop safe. It's very easy in use and the material feels strong. Also the zip feels strong enough and not that it's going to break easily. It wont prevent the laptop from damaging when you trow it off a building and that's not what this case is designed for. Overall a really good and stylish case of protect your laptop from scratching but I do think it's quiet expensive. The size is perfect though and you can easily store this in your bag.
