In a previous review I discussed my experience with an ASUS netbook. As I foresaw that I would need to carry it around with me, I invested in a carry bag.
I say 'invested', but this product only cost me around £10 (it is now £14 on Amazon, where I bought it, but even that price is pretty good). It comprises a carry bag and a micro optical mouse. The kit comes in black or pale pink - I chose the girly option!
The bag itself comes with a rubber top handle and a carry strap. It is sturdy, and still in excellent build condition despite frequent use. The bag itself is fairly light and doesn't add too much weight to the netbook. My 10.1 inch netbook fits into the bag, despite the fact it is described as a 10 inch case. I have found the bag to be very comfortable to carry, and the strap is adjustable for ease of use. It is slightly padded but not shock-proof - it will withstand light knocks, but don't drop it on the floor when your netbook is inside, just in case!
The main body of the bag is securely zipped and is where you keep your netbook and, in a separate pouch to prevent scratching, the power supply. There is also a front compartment with a separate zip which opens to reveal a number of pockets, as well as a pen holder. This area can be used to store your mouse and anything else you might need, such as a USB stick.
There is a micro mouse included with the bag, in pink to match the bag's colour. This is tiny and I find it reasonably easy to use, though I have comparatively small hands. My dad saw it and remarked that there would be no way he'd be able to use this mouse! I use the mouse almost every time I use the netbook and it still works perfectly. It is easy to install, too - just plug in and it connects automatically without the need for complicated procedures. It's worth noting that the USB cable for the mouse is exceptionally short - this is handy for not having cables trailing everywhere, but if you only have a USB port on the opposite side to your hand, watch out. Luckily, I am right-handed and I have a USB port on the right hand side of the computer, so I haven't had any problems.
The biggest problem with the bag - and I'm starting to wish I'd gone for the black version for this reason - is the pale colour, which shows up any dirt or stains. I spilled some wine on mine - I'm going to put it in the washing machine to see if I can get it out, as at the moment it looks rather unsightly!
Despite this issue, though, this is a fantastic case that I do recommend, and comes at a great price.
