... first off ive had my acer aspire 5315 for about a year now and have never really had any major problems with it. The one problem i had was with the charger after a while it was slack and didnt fit into the charger slot and sometimes wouldnt charge after taking it back to the shop it was send away and a few days later a replacement charger was sent i was very happy with acer and the speed of the response. Dell Inspiron 9400 Superb ... have owned a 9400 since Feb 2006, I use it as a replacement Desktop PC, primarily for photo manipulation, which is why I chose the upgraded screen at the time. I re-installed Windows XP earlier this year, but only because it was getting cluttered, (as it does over time), this was such an easy procedure that I wish I had done it earlier, as there is a hidden partition on the HD containing the System which virtually does it all for you at the touch of a button. I just tried the VGA-VGA on my Sony 32in TV, and was extremely impressed by the quality of the TV picture, fortunately the 9400 screen has the same Dpi. Fujitsu Siemens Amilo L7320 ... ve had one of these for a number of years now and find it pretty awful. It takes a long time to load up and despite being treated with respect had started to fall apart! The black plastic that covers the hinges on the monitor has broken off. The catch you use to open it is also useless and has broken off. The screen is quite clear and it s useful having the Wireless card in it. It also holds its charge quite well (last about 50 minutes) However, ours seems to overheat all the time (presumably because the fan has packed up) and the damn thing turns itself off when you re in the middle of something. Medion MD96163 ... had this laptop for a christmas present two years ago, and at first, it worked really well, and i was really pleased with the product. The programs worked well, the screen was clear, etc. The memory was big, and held all of my work and photos and songs, and it was generally fast working. But after a few months the mother board broke, and i had to send it off, which took ages to repair. Then, the buttons started to break. The left click on the mouse stopped working, and after the repair, half of the programs never worked again, such as the cd re-writer.
