Apple iBook M8862B/A ... in a refurb box (plain brown), but with all the manuals, cables and disks. The laptop itself looked brand new, now a mark on it, and all the stickers in the right places and cover on the keyboard. I suspect it was a refurbished Apple Store model that had been sitting in this other company warehouse for a while. Well, I added another 512MB of memory (£15) and installed the latest OS X Leopard on it just recently. It runs so so nicely. Connects to the internet wirelessly and although not as fast as my MacBook Pro, it does exactly what it wass bought for. IBM Thinkpad T41 ... is my office laptop, which came with all VPN and safeboot software installed for connecting to my office intranet. I always fancied thinkpad as it is the mother of all laptop in all aspects. The one I am using is Pentium M 1.6 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 40 GB HDD and running Windows XP on it. The only thing I don t like in ThinkPad is that red trackball device, which I always found tricky to deal with. This T41 has that trackball as well as touch pad, so I am not complaining about it. The T41 is one of the best looking laptops with everything you want from the laptop. Even if I try hard, I can t find a fault with it. I will keep the review short and just list the features quick... Toshiba Tecra 9000 ... have been using the Toshiba Tecra 9000 for about two years now. The laptop is very good. The inbuilt wireless and Bluetooth are very useful. The built in SD Card reader is also useful, but only runs at USB 1.1 speed so can be a little slow when transferring lots of files. The screen is bright and clear and copes well with playing DVDs. It is a fast enough PC to watch the BBC iPlayer in full screen. The built in mouse nipple can be a little hard to get used to, so I would recommend a small cordless USB mouse. You can get these for as little as two or three quid from a site like ebuyer. The laptop only has USB 1.1, so it may be wise getting a USB2 PC Card. The bat...
