It has now seen end of life as we know it, replaced by an R52 version. To start with the R51 cost around £1100 to but. Fujitsu Siemens Amilo EL6800 ... looks very attractive against the light metallic blue body. As far as the hardware is concerned, there is a picture perfect flat, color-corrected screen for watching your movies or doing some photo work. The hard drive could be bigger, but at 20gig is really all anyone needs. There is sufficient but well advisably upgradable RAM of 256MB. The 3 USB ports prove very useful for using multiple peripherals, also included is a firewire socket, unfortunately not the larger one but still handy for digital film and photography, and a TV out socket, again usefull for the above.
