Compaq Presario CQ60-107EA:
... specs shown for the laptop are not the same as mine even though I have the same laptop. Rather than having a 120GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM mine has 4GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive. This is a very good laptop especially if you need one for college work which is my main use for it. Compaq Presario A935EA ... reliable laptop for home use. Robust as I have stood on mine and it is fine. It also survuved a small swater spillage. Compared to some laptops it has a traditional, slightly outdate appearance but is easy to use as everything is where you expect it to be. It processes fast enough although I have had some delays when playing a movie and surfing the net at the same time. All other application though have run excellently. The storage capacity mine holds many movies and tracks without slowing performance. The battery life is good for a laptop in this range, a movie will play for around an hour and I have worked on a spread sheet for wel over 2.5 hours. The box on the power... Sony Vaio AW31M/H ... I don t think disappointment quite covers my feelings for this laptop. i was bought this laptop at work to use as my main machine. My main problems are slowness, the screen often blacks out for no reason, connectivity, failure opening documents, freezing and often the connection to the internet goes for no apparent reason. Like me are you thinking i don t know how to use it? have downloaded a virus or clogged up the system.. well 3 of my colleagues also have this laptop and also have exactly the same problems. We can t wait until the company will offer to buy new computers. We have tried reinsatlling the operating system, wiping the machine and many other things ... Dell Latitude D505 ... ve had this laptop for over 3 years and it has been an absolute workhorse, working when other laptops would have given up the ghost and died. In all that time all I have done is increase its standard 512mb RAM to 2mb RAM to get some more speed ito run my applications. I m not a gamer so I don t ask it to perform fast high graphics, the laptop being used primarily for Office applications, email and internet with a dose of family tree work thrown in. The laptop also has built in wireless for smooth internet connection and bluetooth useful for synchronising with my smart phone.
