Ashley+Wakeling Toshiba Satellite 4010CDT: ... this laptop off Ebay about 2 months ago. It was still installed with windows 98 (Amazing operating system) when i got it. I was after a further upgrade but unfortunately seeing as there is only one bay and the max RAM is a curios 160MB there really is no point. Windows 98 boots in about 28 seconds and i...

kamal IBM Thinkpad T41
... is my office laptop, which came with all VPN and safeboot software installed for connecting to my office intranet. I always fancied thinkpad as it is the mother of all laptop in all aspects. The one I am using is Pentium M 1.6 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 40 GB HDD and running Windows XP on it. The only thing I don t like in ThinkPad is that red trackball device, which I always found tricky to deal with. This T41 has that trackball as well as touch pad, so I am not complaining about it. The T41 is one of the best looking laptops with everything you want from the laptop. Even if I try hard, I can t find a fault with it. I will keep the review short and just list the features quick...

TheMusician IBM Thinkpad 760 XL
... IBM Thinpad 760XL. My first impressions was that it was quite heavy and bulky. But after having a play with it, I discovered that I liked it! - It was everything I needed to aid me through my studies, and it was affordable too, so I decided to buy it! When I first bought this Laptop, it had pretty basic specs. 2.1GB HDD and just 32MB RAM. But over time I upgraded, now I have a 5GB HDD and 80MB RAM. Now okay, it may still be basic but with that I have been able to do some pretty amazing things with it. Here is a list of some of the stuff I have on it. DirectX 9 Microsoft Windows 98SE (Although this is fully upgradable, I have managed to put 2000 and XP on this de...

punkypickle Apple PowerBook G3
... well...I own a powerbook g3 series. By today's standards its slow and out of date (well that's what the titanium owners would say!). My particular model has a 233mhz processor...and a 128 memory.. I just wanted to put my opinion forward that just because the critics always say bigger and faster is better...there really isn't that much difference! Until last year I was studying for a moving image course involving animation and film. I did end up buying a G4 mac last year because I knew it would handle video footage a lot better..but until that point my laptop was perfectly fine and still is!...I got the memory upgraded to the max (192) and got a usb pc...
