Dell Inspiron 1720 ... have just bought one of these to replace my rather dead, and always quite unreliable Acer laptop. I have been using my new Dell for around 3 weeks now and can only say its great! To start with the screen - it s a very crisp and stunning picture at all times, which I have noticed both when watching films and looking at pictures, but in particular when working on documents or webpages with quite a lot of writing - I no longer have to squint because everything is so much sharper. The sound is also very nice - although little of my laptop usage needs sound, those occasions that I do want to watch a dvd or listen to a cd it is nice to have not only a good quality sound, bu... Sony Vaio AW31M/H ... brought this laptop origionally for the larger screen which does make a difference when your eyes start failing you, the set up at first seemed slightly different to what i was used to but dont be fooled by the first hour or so of using this laptop as it indeed gets easier to use once you have figured out how to navigate your way around it and figured out where everything is hiding lol just be aware if you are like me you may regret buying it at first and want to take it back lol but it gets so much easier and now its just like any old laptop i have had if not better so honestly go for it and just take the time to figure it out before you lose your temper with it lol i... HP Compaq Business Notebook 6720s ... HP 6720s is a slim laptop which is easy to use and has good performance. The only problems we have had reported is that the keyboard can be a bit flimsy at times, when you press keys on a certain side of the laptop you will notice the whole keyboard moving as if it is bending, we ve also had reports of the Mouse buttons becoming worn unless you press them in the centre they can sometimes be a bit tempramental and the rubber flaking off which makes the laptop look a bit old and overworked.
