Dell Inspiron 9300 Superb ... have owned my Dell Inspiron for just over 4 years, and considering I m just starting to look around for an upgrade, I thought I should post my comments about this laptop. First - in four years I have had no trouble with it at all, and it has taken some heavy use (30-40 hours per week), I have dropped it (twice) and spilt coffeee over it a couple of times, and it still keeps coming back for more. The laptop is easy to use, straight out the box it was set up and ready to go, installed with windows xp and microsoft word. It connects to WiFi with about one or two clicks, which is excellent because on my PC it took several hours to get it set up to accept my wifi connection. The software that it comes with, such as iMovie is excellent, and the inbuilt webcam is extremely useful. This being my first Mac I was worried that I was going to have a really hard time trying to figure out how to navigate the menus, but it was really simple and easy to use. Sony Vaio K115M ... had this laptop for a good number of years now and it s still working like new. I have never had a problem with this computer, other than windows deciding to play up a few times. Yes it is out of date by today s specs so it won t be able to run your latest games but for rock solid reliability I cannot fault this machine. Its survived drops, knocks and falling off my lap many times but I still use this laptop as my main computer. After all this time the only fault it has is that some of the keys are going slightly shiny with use.
