Dell Inspiron 9400 Superb ... this laptop (with higher specs as I customized it on the Dell website) 2 years ago and it still runs like a charm, though with a few issues here and there. The difference in specs were: - Core Duo 2.16 GHz - 2GB of RAM - NVidia GeForce Go 7900 GS (256MB) To start off, its massive, huge screen, thus huge weight - not ideal to carry around, but I would say just as good as a desktop computer but taking less space. In terms of specs, 2 years on it can still run the latest games and work applications with its Core Duo allowing you to run other stuff in the background as well. Dell Inspiron 9300 Superb ... have owned my Dell Inspiron for just over 4 years, and considering I m just starting to look around for an upgrade, I thought I should post my comments about this laptop. First - in four years I have had no trouble with it at all, and it has taken some heavy use (30-40 hours per week), I have dropped it (twice) and spilt coffeee over it a couple of times, and it still keeps coming back for more. The laptop is easy to use, straight out the box it was set up and ready to go, installed with windows xp and microsoft word. Sony Vaio TZ21MN/N ... was lucky enough to use one of these lovely little Sony vaios. The 11.1" led screen is very clear and the laptop is so thin and light at only about 1kg with the battery. If you re constantly using a laptop on the move this is a must as it is truly portable and usable with it s features. The fact it has a dvdrw drive is amazing in a laptop the size of a netbook and with a core 2 processor it s no slouch. It has wifi and bluetooth as well as a webcam. It has all you need in a proper laptop but at an amazingly compact size.
