Acer Aspire 5103WLMi: ... I have only had my laptop for a few weeks, but I really wanted one for work. ... me tell you I have had my MacBook Pro for 3 months and it really is brilliant! I won t go into specifics, I mean there is no discussion the performance level is high and a quality feature like he iSight makes the product very attractive, especially for a laptop where you don t want to attach an external webcam but the best in my opinion is the Intel Core Duo processor because it allows you to run applications like Parallels or CrossOver without a glitch, ie: you can run a Windows operating system image as a virtual machine (Parallels) or install and use Windows softwares and games (CrossOver) seamlessly on the Mac. The Intel Core Duo simply allows the best of two ...

... I wouldn t try Vista until all the bugs had been fixed. I was browsing Ebay a couple of months ago and saw this particular computer staring at me from the picture section. So, at the ludicrous low price it was at, I purchased it and it arrive in about a week. As you can see, its stats are amazing and even I couldn t find a bug in Vista. Its DVDRAM drive is easily enough for my media needs, I can write 5GB DVDs for pics and text, the RAM is easily enough for my lifestyle (about 5 browsers at once!) and the network adapters are amazing. The rotating AND tilting screen works a treat for watching movies and music videos, and would also be brilliant for a family computer....

... run a lot better. So good, in fact, that i decided to give it a test running Windows XP in Parallels. All this did was highlight what I now suspect to be the biggest underlying problem with the default configuration of the earlier MacBookPro s - Lack of memory. Mine came with 512MB, and it really struggled with it. I ve upgraded to 2GB, and it runs just fine. XP runs at native speeds, and even plays some games, although there s a shortage of integrated graphics support because it is ultimately software emulation. However you can use it as a full on XP experience with BootCamp which will make XP use the full offering of the impressive hardware lineup in a MacBookPro. ...
