Acer Aspire 5738Z-423G16MN ... where to start... Well, Acer has done it again by producing a laptop with decent specs at a low price. In fact, the laptop is so cheap now, that it would be hard to take any notice of any disadvantages, because it s such good value for money. Ebuyer are currently selling this laptop at £320. Setup: As usual, it s full of a lot of trial software, which is a shame, but nothing to worry about because it doesn t take long to remove. This is a minor inconvenience which you will get with any laptop that you buy. Advantages: A very nice looking laptop with a decent specification that is suitable to most people s needs. Dell Inspiron 1501 ... 3 years ago now I decided to buy a laptop as I needed one to work remotely from the office. I decided to go for a Dell Inspiron 1501 model laptop and generally haven t been disappointed. The advantages of this particular laptop are the prices which was very cheap at the time at around £500 with all the insurance and bits added on. It is also very easy to use and is simple enough to work on. It makes a very useful computer to work on and play games. The screen is big enough as well to be able to use. The disadvantages I have found with it is that the battery life doesn t seem too long. The laptop can be fully charged but when the charge is taken off the battery only ... Acer Emachines E520 ... have had this laptop for over a year now and have downloaded loads on to it eg- msn, limewire etc and it hasn t slowed it down like many other laptops. It is easy to use with many great features including power selector where you can change the power supply for when its not plugged in so the battery lasts longer. It comes with loads of games installed on to it including child friendly ones. It doesnt weigh to much so doesn t feel like your lugging around a bag of bricks. Has wifi installed and is fast connected to the internet. Takes a while to start up but thats not really a big problem.
