After asking around friends, colleagues and people on Twitter I came to the conclusion that I should go for it. HP Compaq Business Notebook 6715b ... bought this laptop a year ago, it has served me well, I am a computing student currently studying games. The laptop s design itself is a little plastic for my tastes with the track pad not being too great, the scroll bar on it often decides not to work. But on the plus it has a fingerprint scanner which is great for security. This being said it is good for the money you pay, the processing power of the laptop is good and has served me well when making games 2D games, the hardrive is quiet, the screen is large and bright with a good colour ratio, if you are after a laptop that does a lot of graphical work then this is not for you as there is no dedicated graphics card. ... Apple MacBook Pro MB990B/A ... s new macbook design, incorporates a unibody aluminium shell, of which is immaculately finished with a high attention to detail. The shape is sleek although is prone to producing much heat if this is not dissipated well. This can provide an additional benefit of acting as a water bottle on cold nights if necessary but at least it will not burn your legs too badly. Nor does the user receive any electric shocks from the conducting aluminium material whilst the device is connected to the mains power as which may have been the case with the previous generation of macbook.
