Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile V5545 ... recently purchased this laptop and am very impressed with it. It has a brilliant price for the specification and operates fast. I was pleased to receive easy to use instructions for setting up the laptop and the operating system, Windows Vista Home Premium . I also received clear instructions on how to enable the wireless access. As soon as wireless was enabled, the computer detected my router and was able to connect within two minutes. The 15.42 TFT screen produces very good results with thanks to built in graphics - ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 - 128 MB. The 2MB and 120MB Hard Drive ensured that everything went smoothly. Windows Vista has shown its stability by still somehow acting reliably since in launch in 2006. The AMD processor is dual core - so despite it not being the Intel that everyone talks about - it still performs at the same level. The 2GB RAM coupled to the 250GB memory aids in showing the true power of this middle range Hewlett Packard laptop. The system very rarely slows - and this is even under immense usage when I am working on a web designing project - i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Firefox are all open that truly drink memory.. yet the computer i... Acer Aspire 5315 ... Vista is useless. I then visited some internet forums and found tips to disable some background task/services. This helped a lot, as memory usage came down to 70%, which is still high. I then presented this laptop to my mom as asked her to get rid of Vista by contacting local technician. But she liked this new look and feel and kept vista on it. The performance is OKish but I never had any complain from actual laptop. I also found the trackpad bit jurky, but its not that bad. The inbuilt webcam works very well. I would not go for any celeron machine with less than 2 GB ram if I am using Windows Vista. But I am very lucky as I use XP and Ubuntu on my personal laptop....
