... of the warranty period I have a problem with the keyboard. 1 letter keeps repeating itself sometimes and sometimes it dosent work at all. Its just little problem like these you are likely to get when a Sony Laptop is brought. I dont know where it goes wrong underneath all the great body work but the mechanics do need tweaking. Asus F5VL-AP011C ... of all, i would like to say how beautiful this laptop is. It is thin, light and the 17 inch screen is crisp and clear. The hotkeys are exceptional as are many of the other features on it, including the built in webcam that can be spun independantly. The Keyboard is nice to type on and is not squashed at all, which others of this size can be. Everything about this laptop was perfect and the customer services department of ASUs are amazing, by far the best computer company that i have ever deault with. Also the battery life is fairly average at about 2-3 hours with faily heavy internet usage. However, here comes the negatives. After a few months, i cant rememebr ... Apple MacBook MB881B/A ... is the first mac I ve had, after being continuously impressed with the numerous amount of ipods I d had. I needed a new laptop for university, and was looking for a high spec laptop, that was going to last me my whole course. After spending a month or so looking at laptop prices and reviews, I found that I was going to be lucky to find anything good and reliable enough that wasn t priced at around the £700 mark. I then realised that with vista still being the pre-installed operating system on pretty much everything, a mac seemed like a sensible alternative. Asus F3Sv AP073G ... i m going to try not to be too harsh on this laptop, but i feel like i have to... I have had it for just over 2 years, and in total the graphics card has died 3 times and the case has cracked (in the exact same place) 2 times. I ve sent it back twive for repairs but now it is just out of warranty, and honestly it is so much hassle, i will have to buy a new leptop. The design flaws are pretty huge in this laptop and i would hope that no one goes through what i have gone through... just don t buy it.
