Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile V5505 ... for half a hour without having wires everywhere, etc. though. It has built in wireless which seems no slower than the wired desktop, no actually it is quicker. 1GB RAM is just about OK but Vista is thirsty so it's good you can upgrade this to 2Gbs - that should buy this some time before obsolescence overtakes it. It has bluetooth which is close to essential these days, with all the devices one end up with, and 4 USB ports, which I find just sufficient. It came preloaded with a 90 day subscription to Norton, Nero and Adobe Acrobat, which saves a bit of downloading from the internet. Apple MacBook Pro MA896B/A ... because it really is just a great laptop. SCREEN Now I thought that the huge 17" screen deserved an entire section to itself so I'm gonna give it one. THE SCREEN IS AMAZING especially the glossy one. Its LED backlit and much better than some plasma televisons I have seen. The screen is extremely sharp and Im pretty sure its close to High Definition. It also has very bright colours and can be very very bright at times. POWER AND PERFORMANCE Not only is this a superfast at running Mac OSX with its dual core processer and two gigs of ram I hear that it runs Microsoft Vista faster than an actual PC which is an acheviement in itself. HP Pavilion Media Center Dv9220eu Entertainment ... minor issues. Firstly, the mouse pad took me a while to get used to, the buttons are a bit too bouncy and the touchpad a bit sticky, and the mouse does tend to jump around at the tiniest touch. It's also a bit strange and not completely comfortable having the pad so far to one side, esp. if (like me) you do actually use the laptop on your lap a fair amount, as it isn't very easy to balance. The TV card that came with the laptop is a bit of a joke. I've tried to use it twice, neither time could it pick up a single channel properly. The aerial is weak and the software interface is clunky.
