... must say, I was skeptical about Dell before purchasing my Inspiron 6400 two or so years ago. As a university student at the time, I had a tight budget. However, there were a few characteristics which I was not prepared to compromise when considering which model to purchase. These were durability, style and battery life. After looking at many many different laptops, I decided to purchase the Toshiba Satellite L40. I can honestly say that I have not looked back since. Acer Aspire 3003WLMi ... in general. Firstly i will give you all the technical information then i will give you my personal experiences with the laptop. The laptop is a light and easy to carry piece of equipment and has all the essentials that are needed. It has a 15.4 " screen (which i think is a perfect size for just general leisure use). It has a 60GB hard drive, which once you have your photos/files etc loaded really is not that much. I found my laptop slowed down very quickly with what i considered not alot of files on the drive. IBM Thinkpad T42 2373 ... is a leading brand for laptops! I bought my own T42 over four years ago with the price of over 2000 dollars. The first overall impression was not so good because the whole color is totally black. Why not colorful? I was confused at the first catch. Soon I realized the color is attractive and I enjoy it greatly. It is not easy to look dirty and it is always strong! My laptop never has any problem even though I always takes it when I fly! So it is very reliable and works good for business. Besides, it has an independent graphic card therefore the image and video quality is quite satisfactory.
