Acer Extensa 5220-101G08Mi:
... it is just a basic laptop and with a cheap price so you cant really expect that much out of it. It can handle a maximum of 2gb though so you could easily buy another 1gb of ram for under £20 and just easily install it so that it would be a lot quicker and this is probably something I would do.

This will just make everything even faster than it already is, so if you so really need your laptop to be a bit faster then you have got this option at a later date. This is really good because what tends to happen is that as your laptop gets older, and your add more programs and files, it eventually gets slower and slower, this is just something that happens, so having this extra 2gb of ram available to be installed into the laptop means that if it does start to run slower than you want it to, then you can easily have extra ram installed. Apple MacBook Air MB003B/A ... SIZE OF HARD DRIVE: I think an 80GB hard drive is not massive at all. But then this is a sub-notebook, so that's probably quite reasonable for a sub-notebook. Compared to other 13-15 inch laptops though, it's average at best. 4. POWER AND CAPACITY: You get more under the bonnet with a MacBook Pro than you do with a MacAir, but then a MacBook Pro does not look anywhere near so cool. Would you rather drive an under-powered Ferrari or a suped up Ford Cortina? Exactly. Acer Travelmate 2484WXMi ... its also light, it only weighs 2.4 kg which is great if you want to carry this about a lot, or if your just a weak person. Also its battery life is pretty reasonable too, its has a 6 cell lithium battery built in which can last up to 2.5 hours which I thinks pretty good. This laptop also has 80gb hard drive. This to some people could mean a lot and to others might just be enough to store their photos on. However for most users I would suspect that 80 gb is round about the average amount of storage you'll need.
