Acer Aspire 5720 ... needed a laptop for college work, i had a look around and came across the Acer Aspire 5720. The main reason that got me looking at it first was the price but then i had a look through the specs and it seemed like a decent laptop for the price, there are a few different versions of this laptop which just differ in hard-drive space, RAM or processor speed. The version that i got at first had a good boot up time, fast at loading up applications and was generally a good laptop. Graphics were reasonable and played games relatively well, the wireless connection is very stable and rarely loses connection. Now after a year or so the laptop has decreased speed just like you w... Sony Vaio N11M/W ... is a good quality laptop, not the newest in the range by far but can be sourced second hand now at a good price. The laptop has a good size screen with decent graphics (maybe not the best for those who demand the best graphics for game playing), and a good all round machine. Mine has never let me down. I have it in white, but I m not sure which other colours this was available in other than white and silver. Good spec, decent memory and extremely easy to use making it perfect for the novice. Its a good all round machine, ideal for students and home users alike. The only bit which could have been better (and may have been improved in later models) is the battery... Apple MacBook MB061B/A ... got this product approximately two years ago now and I haven t ever used anything so simple, sturdy and reliable as an apple macbook. In the time that I have had this laptop the family have already gone through two Windows based laptops that have all either decided to die after a year or just become so virus riddled that they refuse to work. The build of the laptop is rather nice although after a year or so the plastic just below the keyboard has gained a somewhat dirty tinge to it and some bit s have cracked off but nothing majorly faulty. The laptop still runs like a dream with me almost never having to restart due to frustratingly slow programs or system faults. If...
