Dell Vostro 1500 ... the oversized module (which does look ugly). The most useful attribute for me is the media panel at the front which works with most media players. If I buy a Dell in the future I will pick one that has been around for a month or two first. Sony Vaio FS315E ... ve had this laptop for around 5 years now and so far I ve been very impressed with it. When it was new I paid a very reasonable price for it (£700) and so far it s been worth every penny. Although it only has a 1.6Ghz processor and 512mb of RAM its still capable of running all the modern applications such as office 2007, windows live messenger, itunes etc. If you re wanting to run larger programs such as Photoshop then I recommend upgrading the RAM (this is what I did) as it stops the laptop from slowing and becoming unresponsive. This may not be the best laptop compared to what is on the market today but it s served me well and I have no plans on changing it yet (at ... HP Compaq Business Notebook Nc6400 ... employer bought this laptop for me for home use. This laptop has been better than any I have previously owned. The keyboard is very comfortable to use and the laptop is fairly easy to carry around being not too heavy for my travels to and from work. There are 2 USB ports which seem to be sufficient for regular use. Microphone jack also included. Battery life seems to be very good. I normally get at least 3 hours solid use out before needing to charge up the battery and I have had the laptop for around 3 years now so not bad at all.
