Fujitsu Siemens Amilo L1300 ... have used quite a few laptops over the years and disliked the Fujistu Siemans L1300 for a few reasons. It s celeron processar and ram configuration was never meant to be the quickest but even compared to other budget laptops at the time and ones I have personally used it was slow. It also crashed a number of times for no apparent reason and I don t think windows xp can be entirely blamed for this. The feature I liked was the 15.4" widescreen which was something just coming in to laptops at the time rather than the usual 15" ratio. Samsung P28se LTC 340 ... owned this laptop for approx. 2 years and got great use out of. It has been an extremely reliable laptop and never gone wrong on me at all. It is also very quiet as I have experienced noisy fan laptops in the past and they have been very annoying. It s quite slim and average weight for it s 15" size and the battery life was quite good at about 2 hours. Windows xp pro was easy to use and quite reliable although some compatibility issues regarding drivers etc for a canon scanner/printer. Dell Inspiron 2200 Central DVD+/-RW ... got this computer around 4 years ago when I first started University. It seemed to work well, I connected it up to the internet in my student halls, and it seemed to do the job. All I needed in a computer was something I could access the internet on, type my essays and play some music, nothing to complicated or technical.
