Acer Aspire 5630 ... in one word i would describe this laptop as fantastic for value , it has all the essential gizmos and software to get you going , and never has failed on me yet , for it value you cant go wrong if wont something more expensive then go for it that expensive but at the end of day all you really need is the internet msoffice and your away , you just cant go wrong . this was my sirst laptop and have upgraded up the line of acer laptops to get the most out of todays technology but for a person who is unaware in the world of computers this is fantastic , the biggest pros of it i would say is the speed of it and the large screen cons of it really is that the battery doesnt ... Dell Inspiron 9400 Superb ... this laptop (with higher specs as I customized it on the Dell website) 2 years ago and it still runs like a charm, though with a few issues here and there. The difference in specs were: - Core Duo 2.16 GHz - 2GB of RAM - NVidia GeForce Go 7900 GS (256MB) To start off, its massive, huge screen, thus huge weight - not ideal to carry around, but I would say just as good as a desktop computer but taking less space. In terms of specs, 2 years on it can still run the latest games and work applications with its Core Duo allowing you to run other stuff in the background as well. Fujitsu Siemens Amilo L1300 ... have used quite a few laptops over the years and disliked the Fujistu Siemans L1300 for a few reasons. It s celeron processar and ram configuration was never meant to be the quickest but even compared to other budget laptops at the time and ones I have personally used it was slow. It also crashed a number of times for no apparent reason and I don t think windows xp can be entirely blamed for this. The feature I liked was the 15.4" widescreen which was something just coming in to laptops at the time rather than the usual 15" ratio.
