HP Pavilion tx2000es Entertainment ... Packard Pavilion tx 2000 I have had this little laptop for over a year now. I feel it was quite expensive compared to what is available now; I think I paid about £600 from Staples for the laptop and three year warranty. It is not exactly a net book but it is a small laptop. The screen size is 12.5" diagonally and the keyboard is a decent size with a laptop type mouse pad in the middle front. I have weighed this (very important when travelling) and it weighs just under 2kg with one battery and just over that with the larger battery. The CD drive is also removable and can be replaced with an empty plastic cover which also reduces weight when travelling. It i... Acer Aspire 9303WSMi ... acer aspire 9303 laptop was (note the past tense) great. It was one of the best laptops that you could buy for the money. It had a webcam, although pretty poor quality, and was easy to use. I got it in august 2007 and this year it just decided it had enough and stopped working. I did expect it to last a bit longer as it is an Acer and has some quality hardware but it lasted just under 2 years. The battery life was ok when not in use but as soon as it was in use the battery just went down after about 1 hour which is no good for people who take their laptop with them. MSI Megabook GX610 T6425HD Extreme Edition ... is a great gaming laptop and fantastic value for money. It looks good too, which a glossy black finish (although it will soon be riddled with finger prints if you re not careful). The screen is good, and fairly bright, with a decent viewing angle. The built-in sound is adequate, although it does tend to distort at high volume. Plug some decent headphones in though and this laptop can provide fantastic 3D sound. Gaming performance is excellent, with good frame rates thanks to the dedicated graphics adaptor combined with the dual-core processor and generous dollop of RAM.
