It cost me 1450,- Euros originally including a 256MB memory upgrade. I spent another 145,- Euros for a second battery pack. Loading the one while using the other. After four years both quit their availability. Which is a really good result.
Around age 5 the loudspeakers started cranking. I think the hot and also wet climate in Asia is to blame. Personally I am not disappointed in 5 years lifetime.

Great product. Have been using this model for more than 5 years. According to statistics I booted WINDOWS more than 12.000 times during the last 2.5 years. Developing software, running product demos, all kind of project activities, book keeping, e-mail and travelling around the world. This laptop runs 12-16 hours a day as the apache server of my home network. It cost me 1450,- Euros originally including a 256MB memory upgrade. I spent another 145,- Euros for a second battery pack.
