a relative who was looking for a good value for money Lap Top computer that would be used for home use. The exact model I am reviewing is the Acer Aspire 3003LC which has a 15" TFT LCD screen, a 40GB Hard Drive, 256MB DDR and a Mobile AMD Sempron processor 3000. I set up the Lap Top for him and also added software such as AVG anti virus and Windows Defender. I also periodically give the whole thing a general check over to see that its running efficiently by defragging the hard drive etc. I think he has owned it for about two and a half years and in that time it has performed very well and caused very few if any problems. I currently own an Aspire 1355LC. I am very happy with it as it does what any normal computer is expected to do. It is also compact and reasonably easy to carry around with you. The screen is very easy on the eyes. The screen is 15" It also contains a DVD player/CD-RW all in one. They contain about 40 GB There are 4 USB ports All together the laptop only weighs about 3.6Kg I personally find that if I need to go on the laptop for a long period of time, then it gets too hot and turns off completely.
