Acer not so good (Acer Aspire 3003WLMi)

Advantages: Widescreen, fast processor

Disadvantages: 1.5 hour battery, will encounter many problems

I have had this laptop for nearly a year now and I haven't got many good things to say about the laptop. When I first received the laptop the CD drive wasn't working so I had to send it back to Acer to have it fixed. When I got it back everything started going wrong, one of the hinges broke leaving wires exposed. 2 of the 3 usb ports just refuse to work. It is very hard to get the laptop to recognise that it is plugged into AC power, it often thinks it is running on battery. The screen often flickers even when it is plugged into AC power (it did this even before the cable broke). Apart from all the problems I have had with this laptop, the processing speed is fairly decent as is the wireless 802.11g as it picks up signals very well. The Acer system comes with some good programs such as Arcade which allows you to watch your DVD's.

Summary: Weak battery, many problems
