This is my second Acer laptop and is the best by FAR!! I bought it from acerdirect.co.uk for an amzing price of £468.97 which I was very proud of when I first used the beautiful laptop and it came with a 1 year warranty. It has a huge 16 inch Widescreen which is far beter than my last laptop which had a 14.5 inch screen. It weighs 3.6kg which is light enough. The laptop uses Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium system which is very good to do cooler stuff than XP. The laptop has a 3GB ram installed an you can install a further 1GB I choose not to because you get a huge 250GB Hard Drive. acerdirect.co.uk, because the spec looked fantastic, too good to be true, especially for £500. I also bought the 3 year insurace which was a further £100. (I went for an Acer because this was the make of my previous laptop, which ran smoothly for 6 years, up until the day it died.)When I got it, things started to go badly wrong. First it was the subwoofer which kept crackling. This was really annoying, because i am really into my music, and was one of the reasons i bought it in the first place. then the media keys gave up on me. i would press play, and the volume would go up, and vice versa. then the fingerprint scanner was getting less and less responsive. This Acer Aspire laptop is definitley the perfect replacement for a home desktop system.I decided to downsize my desktop pc 9 months ago and havent regreted it since.I bought one of these laptops direct from the manufacturers website for about 700 pounds and in my local pc store i was quoted around £950.thats quite a saving! This model hosts an AMD xp-mobile 2600 + processer which is reliable and in my opinion as good as a pentium 4(though notr as fast).The screen is of great quality the battery will power the system for about 2 hours.
