I purchased my Acer Aspire 5315 from ASDA for £247 as I was looking for a cheap and cheerful second laptop for home. My other laptop is an Advent. When I initially unwrapped the packaging I was slightly disappointed with my purchase and instantly had that oh, you get what you pay for feeling. The inside looked slightly plasticky and cheap and I had a feeling the quality of the laptop would be second rate. However, after playing around with it for a few hours I actually prefer this to my old laptop. I bought this Laptop as a present for my mom. When I bought it from amazon.co.uk in January 2008, the £349 price tag was quite good. I was bit reluctunt to go for celeron, but most reviews on this product convince me that celeron is ok for day to day use. As this was for my mom, she requires it for skype and yahoo and she is not going to play 3D games on it, I purchased this laptop with 1.6 GHz Celeron, 120 GB HDD, 1 GB RAM and other stuff standard with 5315 model. Although the speed wasnt a fast as on really high end machines the graphics speed was acceptable and would run most games without problems.
