ok but better out there (Acer Aspire 5315)

Advantages: cheap and easy

Disadvantages: lots, not as good as others

i started using this laptop in dec last year. it wasn't a brilliant choice but as a budget laptop it fulfills all the expectations needed from it. i find that all the usual things as dvd/cd burner, widescreen, ease of use and the usual specs are fine. the proccesor and memory are sufficient for all the day to day tasks. my criticisms are - the touch pad has worn quickly, the wireless acer device fitted is extremely choosy on whether it picks up networks or not and for how long before disconnecting. the dvd/cd burner unit has come loose in its mountings which meens you need to restart the pc for it to be recognised by vista. and one of the final ones is the battery life is poor, really poor. with normal usage it will last about one hour if your lucky. i really did expect it to do better. i would look for another laptop and pay a bit extra rather than buy this one.
