Advantages: its ease of use

Disadvantages: the battery life

iI use the computer very often, even if it's just for the simplest of things like looking up a telephone number, so when I decided to move out of my parent's home I knew I had to invest in a computer or laptop. As I was due to start my college course I thought a laptop would be better to carry back and forth with me. I started browsing the net n came across the Acer Aspire 5315 which is this laptop and read it had some good reviews and was very reasonably priced, so I purchased it.

The Acer 5315 laptop is perfect for delivering basic computing needs; it is powered via an Intel Celeron 540 processor and has a Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic operating system.
The Acer 5315 can handle your music, video, images, and documents with ease thanks to its 1GB of RAM and 80GB hard drive. View your images in bright colour with the Acer 5315's 15.4 inch widescreen display.

Setting it up was pretty straight forward, I'm not one for reading instruction manuals and got it set up straight away.

It's a pretty basic laptop, ideal for browsing the internet. My mobile broadband was setup within minutes, it couldn't have been any easier. I think for someone requiring a laptop for work, pleasure and whatever else, a more advanced expensive laptop is required. The battery only lasting 2 hours is a big letdown.
