i have had the acer aspire 5332 for some time now and although it has some really not that amazing attributes, but overall it has some percs that makes it worth the money spent on it. the acer aspire 5332 runs on a cpu which is a dual core intel celeron t3100. it is a 64 bit computer. the first downside of the system is the RAM which is only 4 GB maximum which can not be increasd any further. Although it has been pre installed with 3 GB. it is fairly fast depending on what your definition of fast is really when it comes to browsing et al. but in my books, it is a fast system. the hard disk drive is 320 GB which is not much space in my opinion. If you are an high end gamer addict like me, i would not recommend this system cause it might get to a stage where you might want to actually pull your hair out. Another wierd thing that i noticed while using this system was that the touch screen was not that responsive as it siezes and hangs sometime which is also not cool. the battery life is okay as it peaked about 3 hours of usage and that gives some form of leeway for people that moves around with their laptops a lot. Structurally, the system's design is good and it is kind of attractive. in conclusion, I have a really mixed feeling about this system. but if you are really considering buying it, i would suggest going ahead as it comes with a 1 year warranty, so that is enough time to really come to terms with the purchase.
I got this laptop just over a year ago, after shopping around I found it cheapest from Argos at the time.
I paid just over £400 for this laptop, this came with 12 months free AVG security which was a pleasant bonus.
The one thing I dislike about this laptop is the charger input, it doesn't seem secure enough leading to the charger coming out all the time, becoming quite a nuisance. Another small issue is the coating on this laptop, it shows grease like fingerprints even when not in light, a matt finish would have been better.
I was impressed with the screen brightness on this laptop along with the clarity and HD ability. The on screen graphics were impressing seeing this is not a gaming laptop, it may not be able to handle some of the more recent games but served well as a work laptop. The sound is not to be taken for granted on this laptop either.
This laptop has a built in webcam which was of great, being optimised for low light was put to good use, but I was disappointed when I discovered there was no microphone, make sure you realise this before buying it.
The 3gb RAM sufficed my needs and allowed speedy use when it came to daily use, if you want something faster there are many better ones out there with dual core technology.
The 320gb of ROM was more that enough for a laptop that's only used for work. It was able to hold lots of data and large music editing software, with plenty spare.
