The Acer aspire 5610 awlmi, is an all round, general purpose laptop. It has a 1.8 GHz Intel solo processor, 100gb harddrive, 1gb DDR2 memory, and a 15.4" WXGA crystalbrite LCD screen.
I had this laptop bought for me as an xmas present around 3 years ago. I have had no major problems with it, other than when i put the wrong sort of memory card in the reader, and it got stuck, and i tried to recover it with a pin so had to send it to acer, as i had damaged it. It's a reliable piece of kit and is still running strong, after 3 years of constant use, it runs at a decent speed and can deal with multi tasks, more efficiently than can really be expected. The Windows XP media edition, operating system, is decent and contains a good amount of useful, media related programs. The acer grid vista system is a good idea too, giving a multi screen solution to running various tasks at once
Overall, the laptop has not let me down, but looking at what i need from it now, i wish it had a larger hard drive, such as at least 250 gb, as i have filled the stock 100gb, and feels like there is little on there. That said however i do run large programmes off here, such as music recording and producing software. Overall, a good laptop for its age, and i would not hesitate to purchase another Acer, who may i add have a very good customer service, in the experience i have had with dealing with them.
