Me and my brother both got this Laptop for christmas 2007 for £299.99 (Although since I have seen it for as low as £229.99) We have mixed views on the laptop, it is perfect for me. I ve had no problems with it and it stills runs as smoothly as the day I got it. Although this could be down to me not storing much on it, I have a few hundred pictures on it and that s it bar one albums worth of music. The screen is really clear and bright so you don t get a nasty glare off of it like some laptops, although it is a pain to get fingerprints off. most comfortable to use as the laptop is relatively thick but it is good quality, well layed out and not very noisy. Display and sound are very good for the price (unless the speakers break, of course ;) It also has some nice gadjets and some useful pre installed software. And as with most Acer products you get good value for money. In conclusion for a student who wants to work on their laptop during the day and surf the internet or watch dvds at night, it is a very good alternative at an exceptable price. of applications. We didnt test the battery but I m told it can do 130mins during ordinary day-to-day tasks. GRAPHICS I tried playing a few games on the Acer and I was pleasantly suprised. Although the speed wasnt a fast as on really high end machines the graphics speed was acceptable and would run most games without problems. MEDIA The Acer is a media PC and it has a great screen, although it is a little to glossy. The screen is 15.4Inches standard for a laptop of this caliber.
