This laptop for the price is a top runner leaving the more expensive competition lagging behind, It would be a world leader except for silly and unforgivable mistakes by Acer themselves.

The DVD drive seems to be a bargain basement cast off unwilling to function at anything close to the quality a person would expect, Not recognising discs, Telling you that a newly formatted disc is full.

But the one factor that brings this laptop down is the placement on the chassis of the USB ports and the DVD drive. Perfect if you left handed but if your a righty like me then using a mouse plugged into the USB port means problems.

To eject a disc means moving the mouse pad mouse to open the drive and then moving them back just to click.

A good laptop lacking in common sense of design. When I was at school we where awarded grades A to F.. Sadly this laptop only rates a D+ to a C-,,, with the teacher's footnote of unacceptable mistakes due to lack of concentration and must tried harder
