I bought this Laptop nearly a year ago for starting uni and found it for a good price in tesco (£379). I am really pleased with it and it has given me no real problems. 2GB of RAM is perfectly acceptable for general use, although it may struggle if you want to run some larger programs e.g. CAD. I really like the hotkeys on the right-hand side for controlling your music, although I would recommend going into the settings and turning the sensitivity down as they are quite easy to hit accidentally at the default setting. Although the computer does run very smoothly, I have on a couple of occasions found all the pre installed Acer products to be very irritating, perhaps for the novice they will be useful, but to me they just take up extra memory and slow the computer down. Although the speed wasnt a fast as on really high end machines the graphics speed was acceptable and would run most games without problems. MEDIA The Acer is a media PC and it has a great screen, although it is a little to glossy. The screen is 15.4Inches standard for a laptop of this caliber.
