Advantages: light, compact, good to use, excellent battery life

Disadvantages: keyboard

When I found out i got into university I decided it was time to upgrade my laptop. I started to shop around when i came across these notebooks.. id only ever heard of them in the past and because of how tiny they were hadn't given purchasing one much thought however after going into pc world and doing some investigating of my own, I brought a refurbished one for £299 :) .

The things that first attracted me to the laptop was how great it looked and how light it is was at
only 2.6kg and how compact it was with its 15.6 inch screen. I also loved the fact it was in black as it gave it a really stylish, sophiscated and up to date, modern look.

Once I got it home and started having a play around with it the positive surpises just kept comming. The laptop has a very good mouse which has a scroll that you can use. The laptop also has a webcam which although its only 1.3mps I found the it to be above average and was perfect for skyping to my friends and family, especially whilst away at university .

Enough about the using it for skyping though and all the other fun things, as i did actually use it for the reason I purchased it lol in spite of what anyone thats reading this may think so far :P. The laptops 4GB of memory and a 750GB hard drive along with its 3GBs of RAM ment that is was more than capable of saving all my work on, during the time I spent at uni and managed to cope extremely well whilst I tried to multi task by using many programs at once such as using microsoft word and the internet.

The laptops battery power is pretty good you change how you want it to work when laptops on you can by clocking the little battery icon in the right hand bottom corner, from there you can select which power plan you want out of 3 options.. balanced, power saver, high performace depending on which one you choose affects how long your batteries life will last . I find it normally takes about an hour to fully charge and then once fully charged the battery normally lasts around 3 hours depending on which power plan you choose.. as it would last about half hr to a hr longer on power save.

The only slightly downside to this laptop is that the keys on the keyboard the appear to be very high up, which i didnt find a problem as such although i did find myself worrying as to whether when I pushed a key i would push it right in but luckily this ever happened as of yet. Also i find myself wondering if the keys being high up have anything to do with they haven't bothered or been able to put a latch(lock) on the laptop for when its shutm which most other laptops do have..if they could improve the laptop in anyway i think that would definitly be the one way they could .

overall though this laptop was a good buy :) and i am a very happy customer .
