Advantages: Good speakers, high spec for the money

Disadvantages: Poor battery life, heavy

I bought this laptop nearly a year ago for starting uni and found it for a good price in tesco (£379). I am really pleased with it and it has given me no real problems. 2GB of RAM is perfectly acceptable for general use, although it may struggle if you want to run some larger programs e.g. CAD. I really like the hotkeys on the right-hand side for controlling your music, although I would recommend going into the settings and turning the sensitivity down as they are quite easy to hit accidentally at the default setting.
The built-in speakers are good for personal use, I have found them to be louder than most laptops, and the quality is very good as well.
The hard disk space is fairly average for this range of laptop, and will suit most people unless they have very large collections of music or photos.
The battery life is one area which could be improved, I normally use the laptop with the highest brightness setting, and this really drains the battery meaning you are lucky to get an hour out of it most times.
The weight of the product is another issue worth mentioning. Compared to most laptops of a similar spec, it is quite heavy, but then you do generally get a higher spec for your money than most so it's not really a surprise that some elements of the design are sacrificed.
This is a very small thing, but I really like the keyboard on this laptop. I find it very easy to type on and use. The only downside is that it doesn't have a number pad at the side.

Summary: Excellent first laptop
