Advantages: Good price

Disadvantages: A little heavy duty

I have owned my acer for 3 month now, the aspire 5920 aesthetically has a very sleek piano black case which looks good, the "boot like" latch is something i have never seen before but does not look out of place and works well and helps to have the webcam centrally placed in the lid.
When opend the gray finish is easy on the eye and the lay out with multimidia keys down the right and various application keys down the left side, the mouse pad is a little sensitive at times but i have got used to that.
When the laptop is open the screen part is a little top heavy and not to stiff so it tends to want to over open or tip up but this is just a niggle not a big problem.
The screen is very bright and clear but i feel it lacks a little colour when compared to a couple of other laptops
Most of the sockets you need are on .the left side apart from 1 usb next to multi dvdwr drive and the power in socket which is on the back, this is not really easy to get to when the laptop is open as it hinges down and gets in the way of the socket but it does not touch the plug when it is in.
On the front you have the multi card reader and headphone/mic sockets plus a rolling type volume controle.
Once up and running the firs thing i do not like is the acer empowering software it just doubles up on what windows does anyway and gets in the way.
The stereo sound is very good (Dolby virtual surround) and loud enough and the Intel core duo T5550 seems to run everthing i thow at it with ease, surfing the net, downloading, playing games, watching films (on laptop or connected to tv) and a bit of photo editing.
I paid £275 for this laptop which i think was a bargain and this is reflected in my review, so if you pay a bit more it might not be such a good deal.

Summary: good bargain buy
