I got this laptop a couple of weeks ago as a repalcement for my Toshiba. So far Windows 7 is a far better system than vista. It's fast booting up, running several applications is an ease. The 17.3 Inch screen is fantastically clear, LED is deffinatly IN!! Even watching iPlayer is clearer and the dolby sound bar produces clear sound. I purchased this because of the price of the item, £599 for a laptop with a dedicated graphics card that's capable of HD, 2.13 processor is great for gaming and becuase of the 64bit system actually makes use of the 4GB of RAM unlike vista. It has a 500GB hard drive which i've barely scratched and has a good battery life of 2 hours on a balanced plan with brightness high and wifi running which is pretty good. I tried putting the battery to max and ran with wifi for just over 3 hours which for the size of screen and dedicated graphics eating up power a good figure. It has 4 USB ports which is rare now and HDMI to connect to a HD tv which is great to watch slide shows of xmas pics. I even ran some HD video I filmed on the camera and the quality is superb. This is a great machine if you don't want to spend over the top for a performance processor and a good graphics card. I would of prefered a smaller screen becuase the weight is an issue but is still lighter than my last laptop that was this size and i'm more interested performance.
