A decent laptop, I would buy from Acer again

I bought this laptop a while ago now and it's still going strong.

I think it's a decent computer for the price, it's nice and fast and copes well with games, internet browsing and software such as Photoshop. I wanted a large screen as I bought it for watching and editing movies - it has worked well for both of these things. Sometimes it does freeze which is quite irritating but it doesn't do it more frequently than other products. My one complaint about the screen would be the quality which could be higher - it was advertised to me as having an amazing picture quality but I don't think that's quite true. The sound quality is not bad for a laptop, not as good as a Mac but decent enough for listening to music.

The laptop is quite heavy and cumbersome - but worth it for me as the keyboard is a full size one with everything a PC would have. A couple of the keys have issues (sticking, coming off) but that may be more my fault having dropped a few things on it. It's a pretty sturdy machine overall.

I've read a lot of negative reviews for this laptop but I can't fully agree with them. Yes, it could be better and there are annoying things like a beep every time you plug in/remove the charger which you can't turn off.

The touch pad is ok but has a tendency to pinch zoom at the slightest touch. I ended up switching that function off as it was very annoying.
