Advantages: Easy to transport.
Disadvantages: No CD/DVD drive.
I was gifted this netbook / laptop for my 18th birthday just before i went to uni. What a great present! Small enough to fit into woman's handbag (a difficulty in itself) but the 11 inch screen is big enough to view with pleasure. I have the blue version but im sure there are various different colours available. The keyboard is slightly smaller and laid out differently that the normal sized laptop however after a few uses this becomes second nature which can become a bit of a pain if you use different PCs regularly. Lightweight and easy to transport and carry.
no cd or dvd drive .. something i didn't notice until it had been bought otherwise i may have thought differently. Plenty room for usb sticks and memory cards though. Enough space to store a relative amount of music and photos (2GB memory and 320 GB hard drive), although this NETbook its just that, its for browsing the NET and not much more as the processor cant handle too much at once. It is a dual core proccessor which Comet were sure to tell me was great however it gets sluggish if you like to store a lot of pictures on your netbook. The touchpad is very responsive however i like to use a mouse and you can pick them up cheaply from Amazon or ebay. Comes with a built in webcam if skype is something you use. 'Stereo' sound is alright for something this size but to experience good quality you really need to plug in earphones or speakers.
Up to 5 hours battery life is advertised on Acer's website and they are one company who are actually true to their word. I was lucky if i needed to charge my netbook after 6 or 7 hours of straight essay writing (i know, yawn).
All in all a sweet little netbook, it has served me well and Acer are a great company to deal with customer service wise.
Summary: Great little netbook!
