... screen is bright and clear and great for watching movies on, however the sound lets the timeline down as it is very quiet, to the point of being almost inaudible with any background noise. The included dvd software is not of great quality, but this is easily fixable. The generous keyboard is comfortable to use but the design provides no protection from dust or dirt meaning that the space under and between the keys attracts everything.

The acer timeline range are fantastically light and slim, and of a much better build quality than acers usual offerings. The battery life exceeds 8 hours if used in balanced or power saving mode, however, using these functions does slow it down considerably. The 15.6 inch screen and full keyboard are huge, but being less than 1in thick it is easy to transport in a backpack.
