If you're looking for a powerful laptop ad don't mind a £700 price tag.

This laptop is definitely the gaming laptops I've ever had. First I'll explain what's great about it:

-Incredibly long battery life, regardless of what you're doing. In fact, I got nearly 9 hours out of it by just using the word processor & internet.
-Built in wireless card makes connecting to your WLAN or hotspot effortless.

-4GB RAM is more than enough to run dozens of applications at once. I haven't surpassed the 3GB mark yet, and that's with antivirus, internet, and demanding games applications open all at once.

-Huge hard drive. At 500GB (half of a terabyte) you can fit sooo much on here. I can't imagine you needing more, but if you do, you can buy external USB storage separately.

-Powerful Graphics card, especially for a laptop. The HD 4330 (as the name suggests) is also HD compliant.

-The Core 2 Duo has a poor clock speed (1.4Ghz), however the FSB (front side bus) makes up for this clocking in at over 1000, very powerful for a laptop.

Above all else - it looks sleek and stylish and is the slimmest laptop I've ever owned. It runs well and I haven't had any built quality issues so far.

The only problem I have with this baby is the price. At around £700 - £750 it is very expensive. However, for a gaming laptop of this calibre, £700 is actually a fair price. I recommend this laptop to you if you enjoy gaming on the go, without having to recharge every few hours.

excellent for power on the go

The Acer Timeline 5810 is a great choice if you're after outstanding battery life but still want good enough performace to be able to handle multi-tasking easily. The processor may be a slow clock speed but being a core 2 duo makes up for it. Intel rates this processor as a 5 star system with a centrino 2 sticker. Because of this you normally find that any laptop with a centrino or centrino 2 sticker are reliable models with the major components (processor, chipset and wireless card) all been made by Intel. With 4 GB of memory this helps with the multi-tasking and being 1066MHz speed is much faster than the standard speed. With ultra thin being in the model measures under 1 Inch and weighs just 2.4 kgs which is about average for a 15.6 laptop. It is a great choice for users who want more than a simple laptop but want the mobility without paying through the roof for a bigger battery.

      Disadvantages

Great laptop for people on the go, brilliant multi purpose machine

This Acer Aspire timeline is one of the first laptops with such a good battery life, up to 8 hours!, this is great if you are travelling alot throughout the day as you are safe in the knowledge it wont cut off on you. the Acer has loads of great features too, like a 5 in 1 card reader so you can connect it up to cameras and mobile phones quick and easily. This Acer is also very fast, the 4GB memory makes the applications run smoothly and the hard drive is plentyful. The system looks fantastic and is thi and sleek, but still has enough room for an integrated DVD drive which is rare on laptops so slender. with built in wireless and also an ethernet port you will be connected up to the internet in no time at all. One downside is the multi-gesture touchpad, the idea has been taken from the Apple Macs and is a grwat idea, but it still needs to be adapted a bit more to be useable for everyday tasks.
