Advantages: Good media software (for photos and music), excellent amount of storage and card reading facilities

Disadvantages: Keys fall off too esily, sound card is very poor and sound quality is also poor.

When I first got my Acer Aspire TimelineX 3820TZ-P613G32nks, I was over the moon. Previously I was using an ancient Toshiba 'satellite' that practically exploded when I installed windows XP. I was particularly impressed with the card reading facilities, as you can use an SD Memory Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, MultiMediaCard, xD-Picture Card.

I also was overjoyed with the recording facilities available and the 'Acer Arcade Deluxe' media software. One of the initial key attractions of buying this particular product was the eight hour battery life, however I found the actually battery life of the laptop to be pretty disappointing, as although it did say that the length of the battery life is dependent on what functions you perform on the computer, mine often only lasts five hours (that's for someone who only uses it to word process, listen to music and watch films)
Also, I found the 'Dolby Digital Home Theatre - Virtual Surround Sound' disappointing from the outset. Spotify continually is unable to play tracks, and I often have the same trouble with YouTube and even iTunes. Even after re-configuring the speakers, although I actually can hear sound more often, the quality is very poor.

I also found that the keys tend to fall off very easily and the laptop overheats very quickly too.

However, the 320GB hard drive has proved to be more than enough to store all the files I need, and the webcam is probably the best quality one I've ever used. I also like how easy using the mouse pad to navigate WebPages, particularly when zooming in/out and prefer it, both to my own previous computers, and my friends.

Summary: If I recommended it, I would advise external speakers and taking extra care with the keys.
